NCHA ANNOUNCES 2026 EASTERN NATIONAL VENUE AND UPDATED SHOW FORMAT
FORT WORTH, TX – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is pleased to announce the 2026 Eastern National Championship presented by the 6666 Ranch will return to the Hamilton Expo Center “The Ike” in West Monroe, Louisiana February 25 – March 6, 2026.
New in 2026 - Expanded Showing Options: Each day, after the conclusion of Eastern National Qualifying classes, all cutters can enter additional classes that count toward 2026 World Finals. These additional classes will be hosted and produced by a local affiliate. The expanded competition option embraces all cutters while still highlighting Eastern National Championship Qualifiers.
2026 Event Highlights:
- Qualifying Requirements Remain the Same – Qualification is by class. Horses and Riders that place in the top 30 of a class in a local Circuit or place in the top 10 in of a local NCHA Affiliate. When a horse or rider qualifies via a Circuit placing and is also on the top 10 Affiliate list, additional qualifiers are taken from the local Affiliate.
- Expanded Entry Options for Qualified Horses and Riders - New in 2026, qualified horses and riders may ALSO enter other classes in the Eastern National schedule for which they were eligible during the 2025 point year.
- Youth Classes – All youth are invited to enter. No qualifying necessary.
- Evening Championship Classes – Open to all riders and horses. Entry is based on 2026 eligibility and earnings count toward World Finals.
