Resources for those negatively impacted by COVID-19

RESOURCES AVAILABLE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES AFFECTED BY COVID-19

The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected much more than our ability to produce and attend horse shows. Many of our members and trainers run and operate small business and may be struggling during this time due to the impact.

On March 27, 2020, the Federal government passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The CARES Act is aimed at providing relief for individuals and businesses that have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.

Below is a list of resources that could potentially assist those individuals affected:

U.S. Small Business Administration – Paycheck Protection Program
U.S. Small Business Administration – Economic Injury Disaster Loan
Forbes – Getting Cash for your Small Business
US Chamber – Cares Act Small Business Guide

Please utilize these resources to your benefit and apply for programs you may be eligible for. These links should be used as resources and all questions about qualifications or the application process should be run through an accountant or attorney. The cutting industry is strong, and together, we will make it through this pandemic.
