NCHA Vice President Election
The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) holds elections for the Vice President position each May. The NCHA Vice President is a three-year term on the NCHA Officer team that transitions from Vice President to President Elect and then to President.
The candidates for the 2020 Vice Presidential elections are:
Skip Jones – Based out of Amarillo, TX, Skip Jones has been a member of the NCHA for over 25 years with service as Area 11 Director for more than 20 of those years. Currently, he is a Region 7 Representative of the Executive Committee and the president of the West Texas Cutting Horse Association.
Ted Sokol – Based out of Seville, FL, Ted Sokol has been a member of the NCHA for thirty years with service as a National Director for 20 of those years. He served as an officer of the Florida Cutting Horse Association for two decades, serving as the president for twelve of those years. Currently a professional trainer, Sokol was the 2019 recipient of the Zane Schulte Award.
Voting will be open from April 8 to May 10. As in previous years, the ballots will be sent to the email and mailing address on file for each active NCHA member. All completed ballots will be received and tallied by an outside firm. Voting will close May 10 at 11:59 pm. All paper ballots must be postmarked by May 10.
