Bohemiann Rhapsody, sired by Metallic Cat and shown by Michael Cooper for Rose Valley Ranch, Weatherford, Tex., took the lead on Wednesday with 440.5 (221.5 and 219 points), the highest cumulative score so far in the second go-round of 2019 NCHA Futurity Open competition. Desires One And Only, by One Time Pepto, shown on Tuesday by Brandon Westfall, holds the second-highest cumulative with 440 points, and Texas Tuxxedo, by Once In A Blu Boon, with R.L. Chartier on Tuesday, stands alone with the third-highest cumulative.

KR Isadorable, ridden by Lloyd Cox for Kathleen Moore, Madill, Okla., earned Wednesday’s high score, 222 points, and a cumulative of 438.5 points, a score which the Hottish daughter shares with Metallic Rey Mink, sired by Metallic Cat and ridden by Gary Bellenfant, and with Sugarlesss, by Kit Kat Sugar, shown by Russ Westfall.

Bred by James Karhan, Blanco, Tex., KR Isadorable is a full sister to 5-year-old Just Getting  Started LTE $142,960, who was shown by Jody Galyean for Lloyd and Christina Cox, to place fifth, with 220 points, in the 2017 NCHA Open Futurity.

KR Isadora Dual LTE $146,164, dam of KR Isadorable and Just Getting  Started, won the 2012 NCHA Super Stakes under Clay Johnson. KR Isadora Dual’s dam, Araceli Dual, is sired by Dual Pep and is a full sister to One Ton Dually LTE $180,833, the 1998 NCHA Futurity Open champion under Winston Hansma. Araceli Dual and One Ton Dually are out of Smart Little Betsy, whose dam Miss Royale Dry, by Dry Doc, was reserve champion of the 1981 NCHA Non-Pro  Futurity with M.L. Chartier.

KR Isadorable and Just Getting  Started are also half-siblings, out of KR Isadora Dual, to 5-year-old KR Isadora Royal LTE $66,257, by CD Royal.

The NCHA Futurity Open second go-round concludes today, Thursday, Nov. 28, while the Non-Pro first go-round and NCHA Open and Non-Pro World Championship Finals competition begin of Friday, November 29.
