The NCHA Charities Foundation is proud to announce our newest team member! Beginning December 2nd, Julia Buswold will be the Foundation’s Manager of Operations and Programs. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, Julia will use her expertise in museum curation to assist the Foundation in harnessing a collection of over 70 years of cutting horse memorabilia to become accessible to all of NCHA membership and more. Additionally, she will assist in managing our newly upgraded, state-of-the-art scholarship management system.

“I’ve known Julia for several years now and her work ethic and passion for the western lifestyle is second to none. I couldn’t be more pleased to have her join the exciting growth of this Foundation, and those it will impact for generations to come” Laura Wood, Executive Director, NCHA Foundation

A native of North Texas, Julia grew up in the mid cities and holds a degree from Texas A&M University.  Buswold joins the Foundation after being with Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame since 2008, serving as Executive Director since 2013 - where she has been instrumental in growing the Hall of Fame, introducing the western lifestyle into Fort Worth ISD curriculum, and stewarding the launch of a brand new museum.  She has also served as a judge for the Public Speaking Contest At Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo for the last six years. “I admire Julia’s tenacity and get’er done attitude, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, we welcome her!” Joey Milner, Foundation Board Chair

“I could not be more excited to be joining the NCHA Charities Foundation team and cannot wait to get to work expanding the Foundation’s reach.  I am grateful to Executive Director, Laura Wood, and the trustees for this amazing opportunity and look forward to being a part of the future of this amazing organization.” Julia Buswold
