2018 Lucas Oil NCHA Super Stakes – April 11, 2018 – Fort Worth, Tex.

Rocky Davis, reigning Amateur Unlimited champion following his win in the 2017 NCHA Futurity, claimed his second consecutive title in Fort Worth aboard Redneck Creyzy, with 222 points in the Super Stakes Amateur Unlimited Finals.

Traci Shehady, Poolville, Tex., scored 217 points on You Cant Buy Love for the reserve championship, while three riders tied with 215.5 points to split 3/4/5: Gary Rosenbach on Pharrel, by Metallic Cat; Isidro Sigala with See Ya At Cadillacs, by Sigala Rey; and Hilary Watson on One Alley Cat, by High Brow Cat.

Davis, who scored 219.5 points to win the NCHA Futurity Amateur Unlimited title, drew second to work in the 40-horse finals and his score was never threatened. His past Super Stakes performances include 2015, when he placed (10th) in the Non-Pro Limited aboard Monster Cat, by High Brow Cat, and in 2013, when he was a semi-finalist in the Non-Pro and placed (13th) in the Non-Pro Limited riding Dualing Merada, by Cats Merada.

Davis, the NCHA earner of $183,438, won the 2017 Arbuckle Mountain 4-Year-Old Amateur aboard Mouse Ichi, by Cat Ichi, as well as the 2017 Canadian Supreme 5/6 Amateur with Monster Cat.

Redneck Creyzy, by Dual Rey, is the earner of $52,048 and has won money under Salvador Cabral, including the 2018 Ike Hamilton 4-Year-Old Open Limited reserve championship.

Traci Shehady, the NCHA earner of $147,833, won the 2017 NCHA $25,000 Novice Non-Pro World Finals on Biscuit Love, by Smart Aristocrat. She was also a 2016 NCHA Futurity Amateur Unlimited finalist (19th) with Wild And Playful, by Wilds My Thing, and a 2015 NCHA Derby Amateur Unlimited finalist (8th) with Hyadualin Olena, by CD Olena.

Earlier this year, Shehady and You Cant Buy Love, by Cats Gotta Diamond, placed (7th) in the Cattlemen’s Derby Amateur Unlimited; they were also semi-finalists in the 2017 NCHA Futurity Amateur Unlimited.

You Cant Buy Love was bred by Daniel and Traci Shehady, out of Biscuit Love LTE $58,622, shown exclusively by Traci.
