(Fort Worth, TX) -- Thirty-five trainers have been nominated for the Zane Schulte Trainer of the Year Award. The inaugural award will be presented at the NCHA Hall of Fame & Awards Party on Saturday, December 8, at the Round-Up Inn in the Will Rogers Memorial Complex, Fort Worth, Texas.

The award will be given annually in memory of the son of Thomas and Barbra Schulte. The Zane Schulte Trainer of the Year Award will recognize a professional trainer who exemplifies the character by which Zane Schulte is remembered: integrity, service, values, respect of their peers, contributions to the industry, and excellence in the arena.

All candidates were nominated by NCHA members, and the winner will receive "Game Plan," a sculpture by Jan Mapes.
