Youth Director Named at National Cutting Horse Association

Danette McGuire brings wealth of youth experience

(Fort Worth, TX) — The NCHA Youth program has a new face. Danette McGuire will join the NCHA staff as Youth Coordinator on October 15.

McGuire comes with a strong youth background. Most recently, she served as the New Mexico State 4-H Activities Specialist from NMSU in Las Cruces, and has just completed her Master's Degree in Agriculture and Extension Education.

Her equine knowledge base includes top honors in horse judging and horse knowledge bowl, and she has been active in many equine disciplines over the years.

The NCHA is excited to include McGuire to the staff. Her expertise in organizing large youth programs and workshops promises to magnify the NCHA and the National Youth Cutting Horse Association.

"We welcome Danette McGuire to the NCHA, and feel strongly that her skills and experience working with youth will bring our youth program to a new level," said NCHA Executive Director Jeff Hooper. "Our youth are an important part of the NCHA membership, and with Danette's help, we plan to see continued growth of the NYCHA."

Any youth 18 years of age and younger who is of good character and reputation and is interested in cutting horses may become a member of the NYCHA. For more information about how to become a member of the National Cutting Horse Association or its youth program, please call 817-244-6188 or visit the NCHA website at www.nchacutting.com.
