National Cutting Horse Association's Super Stakes and Super Stakes Classic Competition To Be Broadcast Live On The Internet During All Rounds For The First Time

 

 

            Fort Worth, TX (March 30, 2001)--Cutting horse fans from around the world can catch all the action of NCHA's Super Stakes and Super Stakes Classic Competition at Will Roger's Memorial Center from March 30 through April 14 with live streaming video and periodic score updates of daily rounds beginning at 8:00 a.m. at www.nchacutting.com for the most comprehensive coverage for the first time this year.   

 

            "We are excited to have the opportunity to bring the sport of cutting horses to fans that might not have the chance to come out in-person to see great cutting horses," said Jeff Hooper, Executive Director NCHA,  "I think that it will be a great avenue to help us grow the sport of cutting to new heights."

 

            Viewers can mark their calendars to catch the top winning cutting horses on finals competition broadcasts of the Super Stakes Classic Open Finals on April 3 at 2:00 p.m., Super Stakes Classic Non-Pro April 5 at 2:00 p.m., Super Stakes Amateur Finals April 6 at 2:00 p.m., Super Stakes Gelding Finals April 7 at 2:00 p.m., Super Stakes open Semi-finals April 12 at 2:00 p.m., Super Stakes Open Semi-Finals April 13 at 3:00 p.m. and Super Stakes Open Finals April 14 at 3:00 p.m.  These broadcasts all begin at central time.

 

More than 1100 entries are expected for this prestigious event, the second leg of the Great American Insurance Triple Challenge, which guarantees $1million to the winner.  Only horses sired by stallions subscribed to the NCHA Super Stakes program may compete in the event.    The NCHA Super Stakes showcases 4-year-olds and the Super Stakes Classic encompasses 5 and 6-year olds.  The event is offering a purse of more than $1.6 milllion this year.
