The 2002 Chevy Trucks/ NCHA World Championship
Futurity broke records in all categories. First, there was the largest number
of entries in the event’s 41 year history with 1,468 three-year-old cutting
horses. Second, the purse was the largest ever at $2.8 million. Third, a record
score of 228 points was marked in the Non-Professional division by Mary Ann
Rapp and Little Janey Lena.
