Hannover "Freshens Up" Cutting at National High School Finals Rodeo

DENVER (April 2002) -- In an agreement recently reached between Insurance Companies of Hannover and the National High School Rodeo Association, fresh cutting cattle will be offered during each of the 13 performances of the 2002 National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR). The NHSRA has attempted to secure fresh cutting cattle for each performance of the NHSFR for many years, but the additional cost of the fresh cattle prohibited making this possible until now thanks to Insurance Companies of Hannover’s livestock mortality division.

"As a sponsor of the National Cutting Horse Association also, it is our pleasure to be able to take the cutting competition at the National High School Finals Rodeo to the next level," explained Greg Whaley, Vice President/Livestock Mortiality for ICH.

"Cutting is an important part of the National High School Rodeo Association. As one of the premier youth cutting events in the nation, it is our obligation to our members to provide the best cutting competition we possible can at the high school finals. We are so thankful that Hanover has graciously agreed to help us accomplish this goal in 2002," said Susan Hart, Washington NHSRA national director and cutting arena director at the NHSFR.

In addition to fresh cattle at the 2002 NHSFR, the National Cutting Horse Association is increasing its NHSFR sponsorship support by providing the financial resources necessary to add a third cutting judge. With the addition of the fresh cutting cattle and the third judge, the NHSFR cutting competition should be the best it has ever been.
