Fishing, Cutting and Shopping: Great Summer Combo

Chevy Trucks will be providing some outdoor fun at this years NCHA Summer Cutting Spectacular at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. The show runs from July 13th to July 30th.

Chevy Trucks will set up a catfish pond to promote the sport of fishing along with the sport of cutting. The catfish tank is set up between the coliseum and the exhibit hall. The pond is stocked with over a 300 pounds of catfish and the kids can take home the fish they catch. Therefore, there will not be any stories of “fish that got away”. Kids 12 and under fish for free. The Chevy pond and the Summer Cutting Spectacular will provide some quality family entertainment for everyone.

The Summer Cutting Spectacular, presented by the National Cutting Horse Association, displays the best in cutting horses and riders. Daily go-rounds begin at 8 a.m. and are free, on July 16th, July 29th and July 30th tickets are only $5 general admission and $8 for reserved seating.

The sport of cutting has been around since the days of the Old West. It features beautiful athletic horses and spectacular riders. After separating the cow from the herd, the horse’s quick, graceful moves, which keeps the cow from returning to the herd, provides for an entertaining sport for the rider as well as spectators.

The Trade Show in the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall will be a shopper’s haven. The trade show will be open each day of the cutting starting at 9 a.m. The show will include a number of vendors, including several of NCHA’s corporate sponsors. Some of the vendors on hand will be Chevy Trucks, Cowboy Tack, Sooner Trailers, John Deere, Sam’s Club, Horsemen for Christ, M.L. Leddy Boot and Saddlery, Silverado on the Brazos, Spy Connection, several saddlery companies, insurance companies, banks and many more. The Trade Show will include the finest in jewelry, tack, art, food and clothing. There will surely be something for everyone in the exhibit hall at the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall.

The Summer Cutting Spectacular offers a purse of over $1 million dollars and offers a one of a kind entertainment for the entire family. For more information call the NCHA office at (817) 244-6188 or access us online at www.nchacutting.com.
