Chevy Trucks supports NCHA for 16th year

Chevy Trucks continues sponsorship of National Cutting Horse Association

(Fort Worth, TX)—Chevy Trucks will continue its commitment to National Cutting Horse Association members for another year in an agreement announced today.  Since 1988, Chevy Trucks has been an ardent supporter of the NCHA.

The agreement includes the title rights to the 2004 Chevy Trucks/NCHA World Championship Finals to be held in Amarillo, TX in January 2005.  As part of this relationship, Chevy will also provide a 2004 Silverado, Duramax, four-wheel drive, crew-cab, dually pickup to be given away to an NCHA member.  Members will be given several opportunities throughout the year to become eligible for the drawing to take place during the 2004 World Championship Futurity in December in Fort Worth.

Every NCHA member who renews their membership will be entered into the drawing for the Chevy truck.  Also each member, over the age of 18, who receives a check at an NCHA-approved cutting will be entered to win.  For example, if you win three checks at a weekend cutting, you will be entered to win three more times.  In addition, in the Open, Novice Horse, and $2,000 Limited Rider classes, both the horse owner and rider will receive additional entries in the truck giveaway when a check is earned.

“Because sponsorships are designed to benefit the entire organization, we wanted to make sure that every member had at least one chance to win a new truck.  When we implemented a similar give-away in 2002, we had more than 76,000 names in the drawing, said Clay Murray, NCHA Director of Marketing and Media.  “It gave us an opportunity to entice new members to the sport while recognizing existing members for their ongoing participation.  It’s not everyday that you get to hand someone the keys to a $47,000 truck.”

Chevy Trucks has been a loyal sponsor of the NCHA, providing millions of dollars in cash and prizes to NCHA members for 16 years.  Outstanding corporate sponsors like Chevy Trucks make deciding to join the National Cutting Horse Association an excellent value.  One-year, three-year, and lifetime NCHA memberships are now available.

The National Cutting Horse Association is made up of over 15,000 members across the United States with a wide range of backgrounds. The sport of cutting has roots in Western ranching traditions, where good horses were a necessity for everyday ranch work and cattle handling. From cowgirls to CEOs, from firefighters to professional football players, the common ground is often in the cutting arena. Each year more than 1,400 NCHA-approved events are held throughout the country with more than $28 million in prize money awarded.
