World Championship Futurity

CELEBRITY CUTTING EVENT DRAWS CELEBRITIES,

LEGENDS FOR A GREAT CAUSE

Fort Worth, Texas --- Celebrity cutters, legends of cutting and representatives of the younger generation all join Friday night, December 1 for an evening of cutting to benefit those in need. Held in conjunction with the NCHA World Championship Futurity, this years' annual Celebrity Cutting event, benefiting Fort Worth-based Cancer Care Services, will be fun and exciting for cutting enthusiasts as well as newcomers to the sport.

Featured in this year's Celebrity event are Country Music stars Lynn Anderson, Tanya Tucker and Kix Brooks, half of the popular Brooks & Dunn duo. Joining them will be former Dallas Cowboy standout Jay Novacek, along with Alice Walton and a special surprise guest. Cutting legends participating in this years' event include John Carter, Sonny Braman, Pat Jacobs, Jim Lee, Buster Welch and Sam Wilson.

National Youth Cutting Horse Association representatives who will join the celebrities and legends include Jill Farmer, Lee Gandy, Lauren Middleton, Megan Mowery, Courtney Sokol and Nikki Sokol.

The Celebrity Cutting features a team cutting format, where one celebrity, one legend and a youth member compete as teams for the total score. It's fun and exciting, and should play to a full house at Fort Worths' Will Rogers Coliseum.

Last year's Celebrity Cutting event raised more than $110,000 for cancer patients in Tarrant, Parker and Hood Counties, The event is run by volunteers associated with Cancer Care Services, and is held in conjunction with the World Championship Futurity each year.

Ticket prices are $10 for general admission, $20 for box seats, and area available at the Cancer Care Services booth during the Cowboy Christmas Extravaganza Trade Show held during the Futurity, at the door, or by calling 817-882-4103. Don't miss the Cutters' Shindig party afterward at the Round-Up Inn, also on the grounds of Will Rogers. Tickets are $20 and include dinner, drinks and live music.
