"First I want to thank everyone who nominated or endorsed a show secretary for secretary of the year award. We had nominations from all over the country. The letters of recommendation were very well written and they were backed up by dozens and dozens of signatures from other members agreeing on the nominee. It became a really hard decision for the committee to choose just one winner. All of the nominees who didn't win will have their name on a list for the next five years for future consideration. During one of the first meetings, the committee decided to name the award after a secretary that is no longer with us but definitely has not been forgotten. The award with be named "The Sandy Sokol NCHA Secretary of the Year" Sandy was one of the all-time great members of the NCHA and one of it's best secretaries who was loved by so many. The winner of this years award goes to JUDY BOOZER. Congratulations Judy you so much deserve this award for all the many years that you have served the NCHA and your local members in such a dedicated and professional manner. Both Sandy and Judy will be honored at the convention this year in June. Thanks again to all the people who sent in nominees and thanks to the members of the committee who did an excellent job."
