Get Ready For The First Ever Finals Friday

Get ready for an all-new event at the already spectacular Summer Show

(Fort Worth, TX) –The NCHA Summer Cutting Spectacular, sponsored by Ben Emison Insurance and underwritten by the Insurance Corporation of Hannover, is held annually at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth. As one of the largest cutting shows of the summer (July 12 – 31), this year’s event boasts a new addition to the variety of shows it already offers. This year, the NCHA is proud to add a new event to this already exciting show—Finals Friday.

Finals Friday will be held July 15, on the first Friday of the Summer Show. The day will kick off with the Youth Grand entry, followed by Junior and Senior Youth Finals. The Sponsors Cutting will follow, and the 5 & 6 year old Open Finals will round out the day.

In addition to all the great cutting action, there will be live music and entertainment throughout the day. A live band will be playing for your entertainment and charcoal-grilled food will be available for lunch and dinner at the tents outside the coliseum. Friday will be the opening day of the Western Mercantile and there will be a raffle for a $100 shopping spree to be given away that day. Admission for all the fun and activities is FREE!

“This new event will give spectators from all backgrounds the opportunity to experience the fun of cutting horse events,” said NCHA Executive Director, Jeff Hooper. “The kids will enjoy watching their peers as they compete for the youth championship, the sponsor’s cutting will provide the opportunity to watch the people that support the NCHA in so many ways, and for the grand finale, spectators will watch some of the finest five and six year old cutting horses compete in the Classic Open finals. Between the cutting horses, the music, the food and the shopping there will be something for everyone.”

Finals Friday will be a great day full of exciting cutting horse action and entertainment. This will be a fun, family oriented event, so come on out. Bring the family and stay all day for this great new cutting horse event.

The National Cutting Horse Association is made up of 16,500 members across the United States with a wide range of backgrounds. The sport of cutting has roots in Western ranching traditions, where good horses were a necessity for everyday ranch work and cattle handling. From cowgirls to CEOs, from firefighters to professional football players, the common ground is often in the cutting arena. Each year more than 2,200 NCHA-approved events are held throughout the country with more than $35 million in prize money awarded.
