As stated in Rule 6.A of the 2006 NCHA Rule Book:
“A show may be approved without naming a judge or judges; however, the judge or judges to be used must be named a minimum of seven days prior to the closing date of entries. Below are offenses beginning with the 2006 point year:
First Offense: A letter of reprimand
Second Offense: $100 Fine
Third Offense: $200 Fine
Fourth Offense: $500 Fine
Offense procedures will start over at the beginning of each point year.”
Also please note:
Changes to an NCHA approved show regarding added money, fees, location, day classes are to be held, etc., must be made no later than thirty days prior to closing date of entry for the involved show. Any canceled show requesting rescheduling will be regarded as a new show and will be subject to the fifty day deadline for show applications. In keeping with the NCHA rule regarding naming of judges, the NCHA office is requesting that show management notify the NCHA office as soon as a judge or judges have been hired for an approved cutting. A 30 or 50 day advance notification is strongly encouraged; however, even if the publishing deadline for the Chatter or supplement has been missed, you are still encouraged to notify the NCHA office as soon as the judge has been hired in order to have the judge listed, at minimum, on the NCHA web page along with the complete show information.
The NCHA office recognizes there is great responsibility in the hiring of judges and therefore your cooperation regarding this situation is very much appreciated.
